śraddhā-vīrya-smṛti-samādhi-prajñā-pūrvakaḥ itareṣām
Translation
For others, realization is preceded by faith, effort, mindfulness, absorption, and wisdom.

This verse outlines the qualities needed for those who do not naturally or immediately attain the highest state of samādhi. It contrasts with 1.19, which refers to beings who attain asamprajñāta samādhi (non-dual absorption) due to prior birth or nature.
