Description
Kripalu Yoga is the tradition I trained and teach in. Named for the twentieth-century yoga master Swami Kripalvananda, it's a self-observing approach to practice that welcomes what's actually happening in the body and mind, without asking you to believe anything in particular. Classes follow a repeatable structure known as the 8 Elements. Some of Kripalu's signature practices include BRFWA (Breathe, Relax, Feel, Watch, Allow), Riding the Wave (of sensation), and Focus, Flow, and Let Go (the three stages of yogic meditation).
