sa tu dīrgha-kāla-nairantarya-satkārāsevito dṛḍha-bhūmiḥ
Translation
Practice becomes steady when tended with care, over a long time, and without break.
Background
Rather than offering beliefs to adopt, Patanjali says we progress with steady practice. He describes yoga as a way of seeing and living with clarity, compassion, and integrity. This sutra tells us that we can explore consciousness without dogma, showing that spiritual practice can rest on curiosity, discipline, and kindness toward oneself and others.
